USP45, 5-7 and P228 Comparison

In
my ever-continuing attempt to further my skills I decided to put the
pistols through some tests. The results were helpful to me so I thought
I would document them and publish them for my readers.
I did not include the Glock, Desert Eagle or the Dual Berettas for a few reasons. The Glock deserves a guide of its own because of it stopping power and its arguable capabilities. The Desert Eagle would be more comparable to a shotgun or the AK-47 and it's results would be nearly incomparable to the pistols I did compare. The Dual Berettas are 'funny and fun' and they might even be useful, but they also did not fit into the following tests. Once again I used some of the data from firingsquad.gamers.com and then put it through further mathematics. The
following images show the spread of bullets from one full clip fired
without stopping. The USP45 had the most narrow spread of the three,
but from my experience the 5-7 and P228's spread looked more likely
to achieve lucky head shots.

The
following images show the accuracy of the guns at a long range.
I used the first 2 bullets from 2 separate clips for the test. The target on the left was fired at while ducking and the right target was fired at while standing. |

 5-7 The first 2 shots of the first clip were completely inaccurate and only the crouching shot for the second clip had a high accuracy. First Clip

P228 In both tests the P228 did not meet the needs while standing, but proved to be useful at this type of range while in a crouching position. First Clip

This
image shows how strafing affects the accuracy of the pistols. I aimed
at the targets and then emptied a full clip while strafing from side
to side.
The USP45 and 5-7 performed just fine and so did the P228 if you take into consideration that it is much more powerful, but since the test was for accuracy I am comfortable saying that the USP45 and 5-7 out performed the P228. |
