CT's will find these researched positions useful and necessary for successfully guarding bomb site (A).

The key positions here are at the top left and right of the image.

At the top left we have a player who's main task is to guard the stairs leading up to (A) from the middle area of the map. The purpose of this is to keep the enemy from entering the bomb site and to protect the player looking off of the ledge.

At the top right our player's purpose is mainly to watch the long distance down the ramp and beyond (the line of fire coming nearly straight down from him). He has backup from the player by the box if he needs it which enables him to keep an eye on the stairs as well.

The lower far right position is extremely important to keep you man on the ledge alive, and if you hear him taking fire BACK HIM UP! You can also provide an extra 'security measure' in the event of the upper right player and the player by the box (on the ramp, not the ledge) getting taken out.

Here we have an almost foolproof plan for holding off bomb site (B). This tactic is useful for guarding the bomb once it is planted if you are a Terrorist or keeping out the terrorists as they try to rush.

The key to this tactic is the player right at the top of the short steps, because he will be sitting in "The Best Position on de_dust2". The other key positions are the players guarding the small 'window' and the wooden doors.

There isn't much to this tactic other than watching your lines of fire except for the man at the top right and the man on the box. The player in the top right position's main task is to guard the man on the box that is looking at the window. Obviously the man on the box can see behind him, but this position is the safest way to assure that no one outside of the window can see in.

The man on the top left is backup for the window and for the player in "The Best Position on de_dust2".

Don't forget to plant the bomb if you are a Terrorist and make sure to send a scout to bomb (A) if you are a CT.

This one is for the T's because they can get to it first if they rush. It is an effective way to kill off the CT's one or two at a time as they try to come through the hall. Eventually when there are 2 or 3 enemies left it should be safe to go for the bomb spot and plant it.

All of the positions are self explanatory, but here are a few tips. The player above the stairs should immediately jump down if he starts taking fire, because otherwise he is stuck. An important thing to remember is that the player behind the biggest box is as good as dead without the player at the stairs. If the man at the stairs dies then someone else needs to take his position. The best man for this is the upper center player because his position is not 'high priority' due to the player to the left of the two boxes.

Update: This does not work in the newer versions. Currently I am planting on the blue ledge or as close to 'on top of the green box' as I can.

NEVER EVER plant the bomb on the bigger X!

Always jump off half way through the plant and get the bomb to the smaller X! Then you can run off down the map and guard the bomb from the show positions.

The position watching the archway entrance is optional but highly recommended.

Sit in the shown position with the shown line of fire and you are guaranteed to get more kills and less deaths than the others!
